According to Regulation (EC) 261/2004, you are entitled to compensation from your airline if the delay at your final destination is up to 3 hours or more. Air passengers eligible under EC 261 must be paid up to 600 € in compensation for flight delays depending on the distance of the flight schedule.
In order to be entitled to compensation, the following conditions must be meet:
Claim must be related to 2012 flight and above.
Your flight must have departed from an EU country or Your flight departed from airport outside EU to a country within the EU using an EU carrier.
You reach your final destination with more than 3 hours delay.
EU carriers and other airlines operating to or from EU countries are subject to EU Regulation 261/2004. Under European law, Airlines are not obliged to offer compensation to you if the flight delay or cancellation is caused by extraordinary circumstances that are beyond their control.
